HZS Stainless Steel supports landmark restoration of midland mills in leeds.
HZS Stainless Steel is proud to be supporting company partners Henley Restoration and Remedials Ltd in their major restoration of Midland Mills, one of Leeds’ most historically significant industrial buildings, being brought forward by City Life Developments.
As part of this intricate heritage-led transformation, HZS is supplying a series of bespoke stainless-steel components designed specifically for the structural reinforcement of the Grade II-listed mill. These critical elements will integrate seamlessly with the original timber, masonry, and concrete fabric of the building, enabling the structure to be safely and sensitively future-proofed for modern use.
Working closely with Henley Restoration and Remedials’ in-house teams, HZS is also fabricating the new structural steelwork for the roof, which will support a heritage-sensitive slate covering discreetly incorporating solar PV tiles, an innovative sustainable solution on a listed asset.
The precision required for this project aligns perfectly with HZS’s capabilities in specialist fabrication, heritage detailing, and structural integration. Every component is being crafted with care to ensure minimal intervention on original materials while delivering maximum performance and longevity.
